In a province full of natural resources that would be difficult to replenish if it were removed, this plan does not make any sense! The developers are benefiting from this, while we are losing precious natural resources AND putting endangered species at risk. The green belt also acts as a watershed to decrease flooding (there is a reason behind the Rouge Valley and Don Valley; please refer and research Hurricane Hazel from 1954). Yet, we want to remove the Greenbelt and its benefits in exchange for housing? There are plenty of places in the city and outside of the city that are developed but an eyesore or abandoned but could act as new locations for condos or housing. BUILD UP, not out! Keep our green spaces intact! Typical of the PC government to proceed with plans to benefit developers, but not to protect its own citizens and environment. Shame on you!!!
