Stripping away safeguards to protect wetlands is not only dangerous, it is completely unnecessary. There is plenty of adequate land in and around cities and towns ready for medium density housing solutions. Allowing wetlands to be more easily paved over and removed means more FLOODING, , more pollution in our waterways (they are a natural water filter), more carbon in the air, less biodiversity, and more expenses for the tax payers down the line when governments have to shell out more money for flooding disaster relief down the line. This will not save time, money, or help anyone in the long run. It may seem convenient today but the after-effects will be tomorrow’s headache! These vital protections are in place for very good reason. Please be reasonable and reconsider.
