I actively work in the green belt and can say the biodiversity found there is ever growing with new discoveries. Our Greenbelt is the ONLY world environmental portal Ontario has to offer. To make it make sense in other words it would be like getting ride of our Great Lakes (which we all know is going to be apart of the war for fresh water in 40+ years) .
It would be like cutting our own foot off during a losing battle with climate change .
I urge our government to provide grants for further research in our green belts has they really do have unlimited and one of kind biodiversity.
Also not mention any demolishing of the green belt will contradict with past programs (in the high end millions) that have been put towards preserving our greenbelt.
That is not only waste of resources but waste of time for everyone back then and the country already think gov workers do nothing day to day so why ease the one thing they did those years
