Developing the Greenbelt (a very detailed and complex system of interlocking ecological systems) in such a haphazard way is a bad idea, despite the idea of adding an extra 2000 acres to the Greenbelt elsewhere. What is especially stupid about this idea is that the proposal "would [POTENTIALLY] result in the construction of approximately 50,000 or more new homes", when by the government's estimate we are in dire need of an additional 1.5 million homes.

Why are we taking a sledgehammer to the Greenbelt and conservation authorities only to deliver on 3.3% of the required homes?

This legislation certainly seems to come at a very high price ecologically, and doesn't even have a significant impact on the necessary outcome.

I don't support this proposal.
