I am strongly opposed to this measure; this is completely unnecessary further erosion of our environment.

I do believe we need more housing to prepare for the anticipated increase in GTA population, however I believe this should be accomplished by intensifying existing build density, while sparing the greenbelt.

I also suspect we will find some unsettling ties between government officials and the landowners who "happen" to own this land if we look hard enough, though corruption is only my secondary complaint here.
