Instead of destroying the greenbelt, the province can address the significant number of properties that are currently vacant - empty office spaces downtown Toronto can be repurposed and turned into low income housing. We can also address the 1.3 million Canadian homes that are sitting empty. We need to utilize what is already built, and not allow our provincial green spaces to be destroyed.
