I do not support this proposal. With climate change now happening at a faster pace, we need to be thinking about how to repurpose buildings. Overall, limiting our waste and emissions by using existing infrastructure. Such as but not limited to: office buildings, schools, hospitals that are no longer in use. I don't think the answer to the housing crisis is building more unaffordable homes.

The greenbelt is home to many species and should be conserved at all costs. We've seen what happens when we disrupt these biomes. The roadkill on our highways is a clear example. Animals don't just up and move to a new area because you say so.

There is a reason the greenbelt is there and why it's been protected by previous governments. We need to be thinking about an innovative solution to our problems. Doing more of the same is what got us to this point.
