The original intent of the green space is that it would be protected as such for now and future generations. The provincial and municipal governments have not made significant attempts to create policy and regulations to re zone existing residential development to include greater density. Moreover, there is a significant number of vacant properties throughout the province which should be taxed more substantially to encourage full integration of housing available for occupancy. The opening up of greenspace is a slippery slope and will only lead to further encroachments once the process is started. I do not agree to the use of greenspace for any residential, commerical or industrial use.
