It is irresponsible to cancel the existing system for reducing greenhouse gas emissions before having at the ready a replacement system that will be equally or more effective. The government should delay introduction of this bill until the replacement system has been worked out and introduced in a companion bill. A promissory note to introduce a replacement system at some later date is not good enough. It is betraying our grandchildren and our later descendants.
