I am against developing…

I am against developing Greenbelt land. The environment is precious and we need to protect it. Greenbelt land allows vegetation to trap CO2, is home to many species of animals, and provides green space for residents to enjoy. Diminishing this space will contribute to climate change and displace wild animals into human spaces (as we are already seeing with coyotes in the suburbs).

In my opinion we should be building upwards instead of outwards to accommodate population growth, and redeveloping former office space into housing. Plan smarter and we can meet housing and environmental goals!
