I am completely appalled at this proposal and strongly oppose it in any form. The Greenbelt needs to be preserved and should not be used in any way for residential or other development. Doug Ford promised not to touch the greenbelt and this government needs to stick with that promise. The housing crisis will not be solved by using Greenbelt land for development, it will only benefit developers. Instead we need urban densification, improved public transit and rent control.

The Greenbelt is a crucial and vital resource for our communities that needs to be further protected particularly given the current climate change crisis, not eroded. Do the right thing and stop this proposal.
