You can’t undo damage to the Greenbelt once it’s been done. The land is protected for countless species, to protect headwaters, and more. It is possible to build housing for new residents elsewhere - it is impossible to rebuild the delicate ecosystems being threatened once it’s too late. The Greenbelt can be preserved and protected for species at risk, for future generations, for all Ontarians AND alternative non protected spaces can be utilized for proposed development. Think outside of the (Green)Belt and past the immediate desire to break promises. Protect this land. Do not erode one inch of the Greenbelt.
