I disagree with this…

I disagree with this proposal for the following reasons:
-Our current urban sprawl does not have adequate supporting infrastructure ie...public transit and sewage systems, to support it. To propose that we add more of the same is perpetuating the problems that we are currently experiencing.
-Our current urban design and the proposal to build more of the same will continue to contribute to global warming, water and air pollution. It is not sustainable on a municipal, provincial, federal or global level.
-We must protect our current farmlands, our nature reserves and our watersheds.

Change the proposal to the following:
-Set progressive urban planning guiding benchmarks on the existing GTA populated footprint that encourage sustainable growth that support environmental global initiatives (ie Global Net 0 emissions goals),
-Financially support and encourage insightful, environmental, and sustainable urban planning on the municipal level.
