As an Ontarian it is disheartening to hear about a proposal that would open up the Greenbelt to development. It is such a shortsighted plan that disregards the ecosystems and wildlife that would so clearly be adversely affected.
While housing is undoubtedly a problem, the destruction of our conservation areas and watersheds is an absolutely horrible consideration. I am truly bewildered that given all we know about the importance of our environment and green lands that such a move has even contemplated. Please keep the Greenbelt protected.
