I believe that building up as opposed to building out is the solution to more homes built faster. The green belt has long been a source of pride for Ontarians in addition to providing numerous ecological benefits such as flood protection. It is important that we do not set the precedent that it is okay to neglect our natural environment in favor of developments as we have seen the adverse effects of these policies in cities across the globe.
