Hello,
As a resident of Toronto, and a lifetime resident of Ontario, I urge you to not make a precedent by allowing the development of the greenbelt. Besides the myriad of environmental benefits undeveloped land provides for us and the ecosystem, there is much space within Toronto proper that can yet be developed.
Many (most) Toronto neighbourhoods have decreased in population over the past decades. Schools sit at well under capacity. There should be emphasis on increasing density in the sea of single-family homes that dominate our city (ie. the yellow belt) before expanding into endless sprawl and making our region that much worse.
Please consider the future of Toronto and the province and reconsider against developing the greenbelt.
