This is monumental hypocrisy…

This is monumental hypocrisy and profiteering on behalf of the Ontario government and commercial interests. Despite numerous promises not to interfere with the Greenbelt this bill has been presented, a bill that will ruin much of the protected areas and strip municipalities and citizens of any right to oppose it. Worse, it will not do anything to alleviate the Toronto housing shortage. It will only allow supporters of the current government to create more sprawl, more huge houses that are a) unnecessary; and b) a monstrous waste of space, all in the name of profit.

This is a dictatorial move that seeks to undermine the principles of democracy and to disenfranchise those whose concerns do not follow the party line. It's a shameful betrayal.
