I think we've sprawled far enough. Further destroying ecosystems in the short term will have long term consequences for all future generations (both human and non-human), so I propose that we make wiser use of the lands that we have already compromised for housing development instead of opening up fragile watersheds and habitats to build more super-sized cardboard McMansions.
Also (as I'm sure you're aware) creating more bedroom communities only exacerbates the transportation problems that plague Southern Ontario, and it moves us further away from reducing emissions and creating innovative transportation solutions that can serve dense population centres.
I hope that Ontario's government can see beyond their end-of-term and consider our collective future.
