Removing any conservation lands in this day in age is absolutely unacceptable! This is merely a politician's excuse for addressing the housing crisis. We can not ignore that there is also a global environmental crisis! Affordable housing needs to be built for those who do not have access to shelter or are literally living paycheck to paycheck. Ontario has just increased the minimum wage to 15.50 this Oct. 2022. This is not a living wage!
Where will all of the current species in the greenbelt live after the development?!
What will the rent cost? Will it be accessible to those who have a low income?
This plan is not a solution but a money-making scheme for our "Premiere" and his "Business" friends This will not help Ontarians!
