Dear Ontario Government,
I am writing to voice significant concerns with regards to opening up the Greenbelt for development.
It is my understanding that the Greenbelt was designated a protected zone to protect the GTA from environmental disasters such as flooding and to provide adequate farmland to help feed the people of Ontario. Opening up for development will possibly jeopardize these two purposes.
Furthermore, I feel that building homes in the Greenbelt will only encourage urban sprawl and add to traffic congestion and pollution.
