This is unacceptable. The government has reneged on their promise not to touch the greenlands. The only individuals benefitting from these changes are developers. This government is manipulating policies and laws to benefit their political friends. It has not gone unnoticed. There will be severe and catastrophic damage that cannot be repaired if this proceeds. Any environmental "assessment" that indicates these developments are sustainable are biased and substantially flawed. This government lacks the ability to competently understand how their changes have an impact from a macro perspective. They are also failing to listen to the people, their constituents. This reckless disregard for the environment around us to create favours with the premiers developer buddies is going to shortchange the people in this province. Fertile agricultural lands cannot simply be replaced. Forrested lands and wetlands that are the home for many species cannot be replaced. Global warming has already started adversely impacting our environment, we have seen this impact accelerate over the last decade. Further destruction to our natural environment is a contributor to global warming. Releasing greenlands is a poor environmental and political decision.
