I do NOT support the proposed changes to the Greenbelt Plan.

The Greenbelt is important for the ecological and agricultural health of the province. It also helps to curb urban sprawl. Opening the Greenbelt for development of mostly single family homes is a poor use of land and will damage the province for decades to come.

Those who will benefit most are the developers. Their close ties to the government and lobbying on this matter suggest the Greenbelt Plan is a product of corruption.

I can on the government to preserve the Greenbelt in its current form and withdraw the Greenbelt Plan.

I further suggest the government instead focus on intensifying already populated areas, building "up not out" and encouraging development of "15 minute communities" that provide walkable access to essential services all within 15 minutes.
