Ridiculous! Long term disaster for short term gain. The greenbelt should not be touched. Long term does not mean an election cycle, a period in office for a particular government, 10 years, 50 years, 100 years or several hundred years; the planet will be around for a very long time and we want to ensure humans will be too. The greenbelt helps to ensure a livable planet, which means we can be.
