This gutting of environmental protections in the interest of private profits is absolutely despicable. As climate change continues, having healthy watersheds and local food sources will only become more critical. It is glaringly obvious what is planned by looking at which housing developers have bought land along the proposed Highway 413. Expanding urban sprawl by destroying the Greenbelt will not solve the GTA’s housing crisis, but it will make Ontario unliveable.
