Do not let this proposal go through. Cutting into the Greenbelt, easing up on environmental protection policies, tearing down history, digging up habitats of species that are a vital part of our wetland are not a solution to the housing crisis!! Try rent control. Try taxing billionaire housing developers and use that money to build affordable housing within the city. The homeless are not going to be able to drive to the greenbelt and buy a house!!! This proposal does not even try to mask how obvious it is that Ford is selling our future breathable air, fertile land and potable water to the highest bidder for its own profits. Try giving municipalities the funds to build rent-geared to income housing inside city limits. Tax the developers. Make a bill that holds developers to EPA standards not easing those standards to allow the rich to get richer.
