Doug Ford stated clearly when campaigning that he would not develop the green belt. I feel betrayed. We do not have food security in Ontario and developing the green belt will only make us more dependent on imports of food. It also seems clear that housing built on the greenbelt will be single dwelling and not affordable. It will do little to alleviate our affordable housing crises. Who is this housing for?
We need the biodiversity that the greenbelt provides. We need its farmland. We need its watershed.
Please repeal Bill 23.
