Do not pass Bill 4. Cap and Trade managed by Ontario is a much better approach than a Federally imposed Carbon pricing. Cap and Trade is up and running, optimize it instead of repealing it. This is the time for Ontario to lead Canada in addressing Climate Change, it is not the time to abdicate your responsibility to improve the environment for generations to come.
Cap and Trade discourages waste and encourages conservation. Focusing the dollars on improving the energy efficiency of individuals and organizations will reduce GHG and save money.
Let’s climb out of the hole, not slide down deeper.
