I am in favour of examining an act and making changes to actually help create true affordable housing in existing residential areas, but that is not what is happening here. This change will allow developers to cram more houses on the same amount of space, but charge the same or close to the same amount while making twice as much. It also takes away the ability for municipalities to intervene when there are problems, or to be involved in the planning process in order for our new communities to be more accessible and environmental.
