The Ministry should look very carefully at allotted times to complete a qualification exam. When a building practitioner is reviewing the OBC, or the Act, they will take the necessary time, whatever is required, to make proper, responsible decisions for building design and safety. An exam should not be limited to 3 hours.
The Ministry should give serious consideration to allowing a member of the A.A.T.O, in good standing, to be exempt from the bcin qualifications and allow the A.A.T.O to use a professional stamp that can be recognized by building officials for the area of practice permitted by the Building Code Act and the Architects Act.
