In light of the recent report coming out of the UN signaling that dramatic steps need to be taken to protect our world from the devastation of climate change, cancelling cap and trade is a step in the wrong direction. We need to be held accountable for the damages we do to our environment. Ignorance is no longer an option. The time is ticking to do something meaningful and restoring Bill 4 is the first step but most certainly not the final one. Doug Ford’s promise of saving Ontario s money through the cancellation of cap and trade is devastatingly short-sighted. What good is saving money when there won’t be a world left to spend it on?
