Good evening,
I am writing to express concerns regarding the possibility of a gravel pit being granted near my residence. My wife and I purchased almost 57 acres with multiple clean springs on the property.
With the pit being dug below the water table I have major concerns regarding the effects it will have on my drinking water and natural springs we hold on the property. Not to mention the environmental impact on current wildlife surrounding the area. There are often turtles crossing from the Tominson property as well as many other species of wildlife and their habitat will be severely compromised.
I don’t believe approval should be given as there is no way to ensure that drinking water won’t be contaminated or affected and taking up that much property will ultimately effect the wildlife populations surrounding the area.
Thank you for your time,
