I have taken part in the OMB process as I was an appellant. I was with a group of residents who were appealing a zoning decision by my Municiaplity.
It is great that their is a process to appeal but the cost makes it very difficult for the average person to take on an appeal unless you are in a group.
The OMB hearing had no court reporter. This made it difficult to go beyond the OMB with further appeals as there were things written in the decision that needed to be disputed.
