As a parent of young children, this proposed change terrifies me. Ontario needs to LEAD the way in response to climate change. The IPCC report has made it clearer than ever that now is the time for clear and decisive action on the part of governments at all levels to promote an urgent transition to a low carbon economy.

I have yet to see compelling evidence for moving away from a tax on carbon. I will HAPPILY pay more - much more - to give my children some hope of living in a stable society.

I do NOT support this proposal. Please consider the gravity of the situation, show a willingness to change course based on the weight of actual evidence, and to consider yourselves truly the government for ALL people. Including current non-voters like my five year old - who, by the time he can vote, may not have much of a choice in anything if we continue to bury our heads in the sand for even the 3 more years your government currently has left.
