The proposal is a Category 3 permit level. How can this even be considered then? The onus should be on the business requesting this, to prove it will not be an issue for drinking water quality, the environment, impact to wildlife etc. It should not be up to us to submit documents, studies and urls to shore up and support our 'stance'.

Secondly, how can this be permitted for 10 years? I see they have a previous one for just over 2 months in 2015 with a maximum of 3,000,000 liters per day. This is combined, 4,045,600 every day for 10 years? What is the rationale behind giving that many years, and supporting such a momentous change?

Is there any oversight or ongoing monitoring of the impact to hundreds of households downstream with their water quality or quantity? There is no backup either such a access to a municipal source.

This is a huge infringement in countless ways and defending it by 'business sustainability' or some such is ludicrous. Without water we don't have much, and we also have dreadful climate change, no matter who or what is causing it. It is still a reality and this request is a blatant disregard of community wellbeing and health.
