The live bait industry has been part of the ontario economy for over 100 years
lately your proposal and changes have impact negatively on many small business
as well it has DISCRIMINETED all zone 16 fishers (LARGEST NUMBER OF FISHER)
example Lake simcoe emerald shiner (tested bait) You have allowed for harvester to wholesale to the north ... But have disallowed bait shop From GTA resident to purchase the same simcoe TESTED shiner to take the SAME fish in other zones like zone 15 (PURE DISCRIMINATION )
This has impacted my business by 50% or more in loss of revenue, A lot of my Customers from gta fish north .....they don't stop here for bait anymore . and it's not just the bait i lost the sales of tackle too big time
Small shops in GTA are closing as of the result of Your changes
You are using the bait association and small retailer of live bait AS ESCAPEGOAT When You Know the real Problem it's NOT domestic Most of The craP that comes in our waterway comes #1 from China and other countries
I believe that soon after you allow (probably want) dead and preserved bait You WILL kill all small business of live bait retailers IN FAVOR OF BIG BOX STORES
