I support the government's proposal to return these lands to the Greenbelt. The Greenbelt is an important part of Ontario's environment, and it provides a number of benefits, including protecting farmland, water resources, and natural heritage. The removal of lands from the Greenbelt in 2022 was a controversial decision, and I am glad to see that the government is now taking steps to reverse that decision.

I also support the government's proposal to eliminate the authority to add or remove lands to/from the Greenbelt Area and Oak Ridges Moraine Area by regulation. This will help to ensure that any future changes to these Areas are made through a more open and transparent process.
