Regarding Map 9 otherwise known as the Book Road area Ancaster (now Hamilton)
Several comments come to mind.
1/ This area was NOT in the original greenbelt plan and was placed into the Greenbelt without consultation and possibly for disingenuous reasons by the local councilor.
2/ Much of the property is bounded by an industrial park/ residential properties and employment lands and makes no sense to include in the Greenbelt and should be returned to its original status outside the Greenbelt status.
3/ Particularly in regard to properties fronting on Garner Rd. the properties are not viable as individual farms and some are rented to tenant farmers. The road design and large amount of traffic makes it dangerous for both tenant farmers to operate their equipment and for the commuters using this corridor for transit.
4/ In regard to the front block from Book Rd. to Garner Rd. bounded by Fiddlers Green to Shavers Rd. relative to preserving farmland and wild areas, this area consists of some food production and forest but large parts are either Cemetery, quarry/ sand pit, tree production and an enclave of homes.
I hope that rational rather than knee jerk sentiments will prevail.
