One reason animals become “invasive” because people keep them as pets or in roadside zoos, and they then escape or are abandoned. Ontario has virtually no restrictions on keeping exotic wildlife in captivity. Recently a kangaroo escaped from Oshawa Zoo, and a serval cat escaped from a zoo in Egansville. The kangaroo was safely returned to the zoo, but the serval remains missing. Please create exotic animal welfare laws that prohibit the keeping of any wildlife without a zoo or sanctuary permit, with regulations on the housing, physical, and mental health needs of the animal. https://www.worldanimalprotection.ca/news/world-animal-protection-incre…
