The Development and Property Committee of the County of Renfrew directed staff to provide comments on this ERO posting, encouraging the Ministry to NOT revoke the zoning order.
The purpose of the MZO’s were to facilitate approvals to allow manufacturing facilities to be built in the township of McNab/Braeside. Firms involved in the construction and fabrication of modular agricultural buildings were expected to locate at the two sites, which would create up to 600 new full-time local jobs.
We understand that the proponent of the development continues to advance the necessary studies and plans required to make this project successful. The County is supportive of this proposed development which promotes opportunities for jobs and economic growth within Renfrew County.
