As an avid fisherman I am opposed to the implementation of the bait restrictions proposed by the MNRF. These restrictions would greatly affect not only recreational fisherman but also tourist outfitters and other businesses that rely on the sport fishing industry.
As an alternate to the proposed zones, the MNRF could possibly restrict bait movement to no more than 100km or 160km from where the bait was caught or purchased.
