The cap and trade policy was working well. It encouraged businesses to work towards sustainable solutions, and was promoting greener energy sources like solar power for homeowners and businesses.

Repealing the 2016 bill will waste time and money trying to find a worse replacement to avoid the federal carbon tax - a tax which the Conservatives dishonestly equated with Ontario's cap and trade program in order to mislead voters. By repealing the 2016 bill, the Conservatives would bring to Ontario the very carbon tax they claim to hate, and leave our economy and environment worse at the same time.
