I grew up on the Danforth without bike lanes and have been hit by cars because they would speed by with no space to pass. The bike lanes there and on Bloor saved my life and have saved countless others. I now live by Koreatown and use them to get to work, to take care of my ailing mother back east, and the myriad of places I visit in Toronto. People will die without safe bike lanes.
