I'm writing to register my opposition to the proposal for an interim combined sewer to support development at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard (Ontario Place). As I'm sure this government is well aware, this action goes against decades of work by the City of Toronto to replace combined sewers to avoid discharging raw sewage into Lake Ontario. It also flies in the face of international agreements to protect water quality and habitat in the Great Lakes. That you would undertake this action to enable a private developer based in another country is absolutely unconscionable. I am an outdoor swimmer. I love Lake Ontario, but clearly Premier Ford does not. I urge you to shelve this plan immediately!
