This is not acceptable. I’m against this proposal because it goes against the City of Toronto’s long-standing work to replace combined sewers and stop raw sewage from being dumped into Lake Ontario. It also breaks international agreements to protect water quality and habitats in the Great Lakes. This pollution could harm people’s health, make beaches and fishing unsafe, and ruin the lake as a place people want to visit. On top of that, the province hasn’t even asked the public what they think about it.
