I am completely against the current Ontario government plan for Ontario Place, including the private spa and any associated work. I would like to see this current plan stopped so that a completely new grass roots Ontario-based plan can be developed. I would like a plan that rejuvenates the same Ontario Place we had before. It was a wholesome, unique, and welcoming place. Ontario Place should be inclusive for all citizens, and private interests should be eliminated at best, and minimized at the very least. Each main part of a plan should be voted on by Ontarians, including a set of options for each component. The emphasis on an Ontario Place design should be environmental education through films and direct, active enjoyment of the outdoors re: pedal boats, canoes, picnic areas, etc. Ontario Place represented "who we are", and that heritage must be restored in this iconic landmark.
