I am opposed to this…

I am opposed to this proposal on the grounds of protecting our waterways, the risk of biodiversity loss and the health threats to both animal & human life.
There has been no consultation with the public, most specifically residents and businesses in the area who rely on and participate in water based activities, including the walkways and restaurants.

This entire process has disregarded Toronto citizens’ rights and opinions, degraded the natural environment which benefits multiple species as a haven for recreation and more importantly as a provider of ecosystem services - destroying a naturalized area within an urbanized city tips the delicate scales into increasing pollution & weather borne infrastructure erosion.

Provincial government continues to place profit over people, push through projects without proper foresight or consideration, and places greater risk on water quality and habitat in the Great Lakes region.
