The Therma MegaSpa and the Ford government is pushing through a bad deal for Ontario for the only reason of lining their own pockets. Cutting down 850 mature trees and destroying them with a chipper is just bad decision making. This is supposed to be a spa for wellbeing and one of the resources of wellbeing are trees and nature. And why? To build a parking lot. And now to speed up progress to build the parking lot, they want to direct raw sewage into Lake Ontario where people swim and is used for drinking water. We are not a 3rd world country without resources to follow building regulations and can put Ontarian’s health first. I am pleading that this thoughtless construction that has already destroyed natural habitat and promises to limit access to people who have used the park for recreation, be stopped. Ford and his developer cronies are rich enough already and this whole plan speaks to greed and disregard for the people they are supposed to serve.
