I am opposed to the proposal…

I am opposed to the proposal to move sewage discharge locations into a part of Lake Ontario that is being used by the public. We do not want effluent on public beaches or in the channel used for rowing.

Moving the current sewer location is money being spent to benefit a private sector initiative and is not in the public interest. If you want to make the situation better, apply that money to prevent and eliminate any discharge — not move the problem so the wealthy using a private spa don’t see it because it’s only visible to the rest of the citizenry wanting to use the surrounding areas.

Please deny this permit.
