Once again, the Therme Spa…

Once again, the Therme Spa continues to pose yet another monetary, environmental and health crisis to our wonderful city. Thankfully, there are groups who are able to keep track of the plans and obstacles for this unnecessary project and continue to keep the unaware, tax-paying public informed.
What kind of research informs the Ontario Conservative Government that this project has any benefit to the people who pay the taxes??
From the start, the general public was uninformed about the Spa until it was a "done deed". The loss of 800 trees was a given and implemented, despite serious environmental concerns (let's not even talk about the money to do it!!)
And now, our waterfront and "fresh" water Lake Ontario face the apparently (and seemingly inevitable) major impact of sewage pollution which will have serious effect on the environmental and public health safety of Toronto and Ontario citizens who are paying tax dollars for a project which is a boondoggle, benefiting only a few well-to-do but paid for by all.
It is time to stop this entire project when money is critical for housing, health and in this case, especially the environment.
