I am dismayed that the environment is taking the brunt of all of these Ford decisions. This one is the same thing different details.
There is absolutely no reason to damage the environment for a “short period” in order to build something that no one in Toronto wants - a large private space on what should be public lands.

With the storms that we currently experience, we can ensure that raw sewage will be dumped into a section of Lake Ontario on a regular basis.

I don’t have all of the scientific knowledge to rebut this, but that is what citizens expect your department to do: protect the environment.
